Happy Birthday Gorgeous
I am swooning over this new stamp set called Happy Birthday Gorgeous!
I just know you are going to love it. It’s a 2-step stamping set with a wide variety of images and greetings that will be available in the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog beginning June 1st. I created a very simple card today using this layout from CAS(E) this Sketch.
Lately, I’ve been using the Thick Whisper White card stock for all of my clean & simple cards. It gives the card a little extra “oomph” and makes it seem more substantial. I started by stamping the greeting in the lower right corner with Basic Black archival ink. Then, I went on to build the floral background around it.
I stamped the stems & leaves with Lemon-Lime Twist ink, a new In Color for 2017. The larger flower stamp is created with 2 stamps. First, I stamped the more solid image by stamping off the ink first before stamping the card to create a lighter shade. Then, I stamped the detailed stamp full-strength over it. The larger flowers were stamped with Berry Burst and Crushed Curry inks. I filled in with some Bermuda Bay, Powder Pink, and stamped-off Lemon-Lime twist flowers and swirls.
The final touch was a few of the new Glitter Enamel Dots. These come in a package of 160, and feature ombre shades of Dapper Denim, Crushed Curry, Berry Burst, and Old Olive. I can see that these will become a new favorite of mine!
This card reminds me of a more masculine birthday card that I created last year. You can view it HERE on Pinterest. It has become one of my most popular Pins. Be sure to follow me while you’re there!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
