Oh So Eclectic
By now you’ve had the chance to drool over the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog and I’m sure you were blown away by the colorful designs on the front cover.  Today’s card features several products from the catalog cover, including the Oh So Eclectic stamp set and the coordinating Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper.  I used this week’s sketch from Stylin’ Stampin’ INKSpiration for my layout.  Be sure to visit the SSINK blog and play along with us this week.
Oh So Eclectic
At first glance, this card probably looks fairly simple.  However, it took some work to line everything up properly.  I had to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig and a little masking technique to create the layered flowers.  It is rare for me to dust off the Stamp-a-ma-jig.  I’m very much an “eyeball it” kind-of girl, but I could not line these flowers up correctly without it.  Perhaps, you’ll have better luck!  If you are interested in seeing a video on how I stamped these images, just leave me a comment on this post.  I’m hoping to get some video time in this week.

You’ll notice that there is a bit of texture to these images.  It really adds a watercolor look to the card.  I did stamp off the ink one time for each of the “solid” flower stamps to create a lighter color, before stamping the line-art stamp over it at full-strength.

If you’d like to add the Oh So Eclectic stamp set to your collection, you’ll find a complete list of supplies at the end of this post.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Cute card Melissa, I like how you used the flowers in the grouping and these colors are just yummy!
