Simple Masculine Birthday Card

I know some of you struggle with creating masculine cards.  This Sky is the Limit stamp set is a great one to add to your stamp set collection because it is so versatile and absolutely perfect for those tricky manly cards.  You can get it FREE with any $50 purchase in my online store through February 15th.

For this card, I started by cutting a piece of the Perfectly Artistic Designer Series Paper to 4″ x 5-1/4″.  Next, I cut about 2″ off the bottom and reversed the paper before adhering it to the card base.  I die-cut the Sunburst thinlit die with vellum cardstock, then adhered it over the top half of the card, being careful to “hide” any adhesive.  A 1″ x 4-1/4″ strip of Island Indigo card stock hides all the seams.

For the tag, I started with a 2″ strip of Whisper White card stock.  I punched one end with the Scallop Tag Topper punch and the other end with the Triple banner punch.  I tied a small piece of Basic Black Baker’s Twine through the top of the tag.  The airplane and sentiment were stamped with Island Indigo ink.
