Special Delivery For Your Birthday

Birthday Memories Special Delivery

We are featuring Birthday Cards on the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKSpiration blog today.  Quite a few of our designers participated in this challenge, so be sure to check out the wide variety of Birthday Cards we created to inspire you.

When I first flipped through the Annual Catalog, the Birthday Memories Suite really jumped out at me.  I loved the vintage-look, the bright colors, and the intricate designs.  It was immediately at the top of my wish list.  Now that I’ve had time to play with the products, I love the Birthday Memories Suite even more!

Birthday Memories Special Delivery

The bundle for this suite includes the Birthday Delivery Stamp Set, Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper, and the Birthday Friends Framelits Dies.  What I love most about this bundle is that the dies coordinate with some of the images on the Designer Series Paper.   That is how I got the image of the little girl.  Isn’t she adorable?

Birthday Memories Special Delivery

I’ve also used some new favorites on this card:  the Pacific Point 1/4″ Stitched-Edge Ribbon and the Starburst Punch.  The ribbon is a soft cotton and very easy to tie.  I like that it coordinates so well with the entire Birthday Memories suite.  The Starburst punch is a new addition to our punches and will work with a large variety of the stamps in the catalog.  I love that it is so quick, easy, and versatile!

You’ll definitely want to add the Birthday Memories Suite of products to your next order.

Everyone has a birthday and these products will enable you to create many, many birthday cards.  You can shop anytime in my online store using the product links below.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Color Challenge TGIFC110

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Color Challenge
We’ve got a fantastic color challenge on the TGIF Challenges Blog today using Bermuda Bay, Peekaboo Peach, and Basic Black.  It’s such a fun combination!  We would love to have you play along with us.  Create a project using this color combo and upload it to the challenge blog HERE.  We select a winner every Friday.
I combined the color challenge with the Mojo Monday Sketch to create this cute birthday card.  The full card measures 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″.  When I mail this size of a card, I simply add a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ to my standard envelope.  Unless there is a lot of bulk, this will save you on postage.
Happy Birthday Gorgeous Color Challenge
I created my own background paper by 2-step stamping the floral images from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set in Peekaboo Peach and Bermuda Bay inks.  For the first image, I stamped off.  Then the detailed image, I stamped at full strength.  The greeting was stamped in Basic Black archival ink, then die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  You’ll also see a new ribbon:  the 3/8″ mini chevron ribbon in Bermuda Bay.  I love the casual feel of it!

Now that the Annual Catalog is LIVE, I’ll be adding recipes for each card at the end of my posts.  There are certainly a lot of new items in this catalog, but I highly recommend the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.  It is definitely one of my favorites!

Monday Montage 93

Welcome back to the Monday Montage blog hop!  Every other Monday, my friends and I share inspiring paper craft projects.  Be sure to visit all the stops….you don’t want to miss anything!

Woodgrain Happy Birthday Gorgeous

Did Mother’s Day sneak up on you, like it did on me?  I think Father’s Day is going to do the same thing!  As I was creating my project for tonight’s blog hop, I decided to use the sketch below as my inspiration and feature the Nailed It stamp set.  Nailed It will be retiring at the end of this month and is still (as of this writing) available.  However, many of the other items on my Father’s Day card for tonight have already sold out.  I’ll still share it at the end of this post, but I wanted to create something that would get you excited about the upcoming new catalog!

As you may know from my previous post, I am very fond of the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.  I love all of the greetings and the 2-stamp flowers are adorable.  Using the sketch, I paired the stamp set with the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper to give the card a rustic feel.  I really like how it turned out, don’t you?

I stamped the greeting in Basic Black Archival ink onto Whisper White card stock, then die-cut it with the Layering Circles Framelits.  Next, I created a frame from Lemon Lime Twist card stock by die-cutting the same circle and an outer circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  The flowers were stamped in Powder Pink, Berry Burst, and Crushed Curry inks.  Unfortunately, there isn’t a coordinating set of framelits for these flowers, so I had to fussy cut them.  It may look complicated, but it only took a few minutes.

I finished off the card by adding some Glitter Enamel Dots.  This product has been SO VERY POPULAR with demonstrators during the preorder.  I know you’ll want them, but there may be a slight delay for them to be back in stock.  Don’t worry!  I’ll keep you posted.  I definitely want more for myself, too.

Nailed It
You can get the Nailed It Stamp set for 25% Off through May 31st or while supplies last. Click the image for details.

So, now that you’ve seen the masculine version of the sketch, which one do you prefer?  Leave me a comment below to let me know your pick.

Bold Happy Birthday TGIF Challenges Sketch #108

Daisy Delight Happy Birthday #TGIFC108

It’s Friday and you know what that means:  time for a fabulous TGIF Challenge!  This week is a sketch challenge.  The sketch is very simple, so you can keep it very clean or really step it up.  If you’d like to see what the other talented designers created, be sure to click on the challenge image below.  Add the hastag #tgifc108 to your projects so that we may find them easily and show you some comment love.

I used some of the sneak peek items that you’ve already seen for this card, but I also added a few new elements that you are definitely going to want.  The black and white background paper is from the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper.  Of course, the daisy is from the Daisy Delight stamp set and was punched with the Daisy punch.  You can see more with these products here and here.

Don’t you find something eye-catching about using black and white with a pop of color?

For this card, I popped it with a Crushed Curry Happy Birthday greeting.  The greeting was die-cut with the Big Shot and Happy Birthday Thinlit, which you can purchase on June 1.  I’ve also added a bit of Crushed Curry Mini Chevron 3/8″ riboon.

Another Day, Another Birthday

It seems like there have been a lot of birthdays in my circle of family & friends lately.  Thank goodness there is an endless supply of sketches over at Mojo Monday!  This week's sketch can be used for either a round or a square card.  How fun!

Because this birthday card is for my mom, I had to incorporate her favorite color–yellow.  I'm not a big fan of yellow, but I saw this really cute top at Kohl's the other day…..inspiration had struck!

Mojo123SketchRoundorSquare Kohls top
By combining the colors of the top and the sketch, I was able to design this card.  I also used the Vintage Vogue and Whimsical Words stamp sets just as I did on my last birthday card.

Want to recreate this card?  Here are the supplies you'll need:

  • Cardstock:  Whisper White, Soft Suede, and Crushed Curry
  • Ink Pads:  Crushed Curry, Soft Suede
  • Designer Series Paper:  Razzleberry Lemonade
  • Accessories:  Scallop Trim Border punch, Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder, Big Shot, Soft Suede polka dot grosgrain ribon, 5/16" chocolate brads, dimensionals
