Monday Montage 99

Welcome back to the Monday Montage blog hop! Every other Monday, my friends and I share inspiring paper craft projects. Be sure to visit all the stops….you don’t want to miss anything!

Daisy Delight Thank You FMS301

Today I’m sharing one of the Daisy Delight cards that we made in Card Club this month.  This one is super easy!  It features unusual angles and a trendy color scheme.  I used the sketch below from Freshly Made Sketches for the layout.

For my Card Club, I design 5 projects and try to focus on one stamp set, coordinating designer series paper, and a limited number of ink colors.  I want my customers to see all the variation they can create with just a few supplies.  This month, we used the Daisy Delight stamp set, Daisy Punch, and Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.

The Daisy image was stamped twice with Tranquil Tide ink onto Whisper White card stock, then punched out.  To create the angled edge, I simply placed a ruler and drew the lines before cutting.  The “Thank You” sentiment was stamped along the angled edge in Tranquil Tide ink.  A few of my club members chose to leave the sentiment off so that they could use it for a different occasion.

As a finishing touch, I scattered a few Clear Faceted Gems onto the front of the card.

The Card Club tutorial will be available in the blog sidebar tomorrow.  It includes all the measurements, so you don’t have to figure it out for yourself.  My customers really enjoyed this class and the simple beauty of these cards.  I hope you do, too!

Bold Happy Birthday TGIF Challenges Sketch #108

Daisy Delight Happy Birthday #TGIFC108

It’s Friday and you know what that means:  time for a fabulous TGIF Challenge!  This week is a sketch challenge.  The sketch is very simple, so you can keep it very clean or really step it up.  If you’d like to see what the other talented designers created, be sure to click on the challenge image below.  Add the hastag #tgifc108 to your projects so that we may find them easily and show you some comment love.

I used some of the sneak peek items that you’ve already seen for this card, but I also added a few new elements that you are definitely going to want.  The black and white background paper is from the Pick a Pattern Designer Series Paper.  Of course, the daisy is from the Daisy Delight stamp set and was punched with the Daisy punch.  You can see more with these products here and here.

Don’t you find something eye-catching about using black and white with a pop of color?

For this card, I popped it with a Crushed Curry Happy Birthday greeting.  The greeting was die-cut with the Big Shot and Happy Birthday Thinlit, which you can purchase on June 1.  I’ve also added a bit of Crushed Curry Mini Chevron 3/8″ riboon.

More Daisy Delight Mojo497

Daisy Delight Mojo497

We are now about 2 weeks away from the launch of the 2017-2018 Stampin’ UP! Annual Catalog.  If today’s card doesn’t get you excited about new products, I’m not sure what will.

You are going to absolutely LOVE the Delightful Daisy Suite!  It includes the Daisy Delight stamp set, Daisy Punch, and Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.

The color combo of Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, and Old Olive paired with the watercolor look of the papers is simply divine.  Because I really wanted to showcase the beauty of the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, I went with a sketch from Mojo Monday to give them the attention they deserve.  The background paper is a bold watercolor image of daisies.  I also added a strip of Calypso Coral pattern paper and an Old Olive pattern.  If you’d like to see a few more of the papers from this collection, be sure to check out this card I created last week.

For the main panel, I did some 2-step stamping of the flowers and stems.  Colors used were Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Tranquil Tide, and Pool Party.   I brushed a bit of Clear Wink of Stella over the flowers to make them shimmer.  The greeting is also from the Daisy Delight stamp set and was stamped at the top of the panel in Basic Black Archival Ink.

I honestly can’t believe how perfectly the large daisy turned out!  I stamped the Daisy image twice in Daffodil Delight ink onto Whisper White card stock.  Next, I punched both images out with the Daisy Punch.  Using a bit of ink from the lid of the stamp pads and my Clear Wink of Stella brush, I added some Calypso Coral and Old Olive to the petals in random strokes.  For a final touch, I added a Clear Faceted Gem to the center of the daisy.

Will  you be adding the Delightful Daisy suite to your first order?  Tell me what you think in the comments.

Daisy Delight is Delightful Indeed

Daisy Delight FMS287

Today’s card features the Daisy Delight stamp set, Daisy punch, and Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.  I think you’ll find this ensemble DELIGHTFUL!

This Spring has been far too wet for my daisies to bloom, so I just had to create some with paper.  I’m sharing another sneak peek from the upcoming 2017-2018 Stampin’ UP! annual catalog.

I started with this amazing sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  The Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper creates the perfect background and accent piece.  I stamped 3 of the daisy images in Night of Navy ink onto Whisper White card stock.  Next, the Daisy punch was used to precisely cut them out and then I layered them together.  I added a Daffodil Delight-stamped center to the top Daisy before adhering it to the card with Dimensionals.

The greeting was stamped in Versamark ink onto Night of Navy card stock, then sprinkled with White embossing powder.  After heating with heat tool until the powder melted, I punched the ends of the paper with the new Ticket Tear Border Punch.  I think this adds an interesting detail other than the banner ends.
