I hope you are having a wonderful Valentine’s Day! It was a busy work morning, but I’ll be joining my daughter this afternoon for her Valentine party at school. She even asked me to bring some stamps so that her friends could make cards during the party (so cute!). After the party, I guess the hubs and I will figure out something romantic to do this evening. My daughter offered to fix us dinner. However, when I asked her what she would be making, she said the only thing she can “cook” is snacks in a bag. I’m thinking we might just order take out. LOL!
I didn’t make this card for anyone in particular, but I’ve been wanting to pair this stamp set with a fun color combo. Perhaps, I’ll just add this to the gift shop to sell. The background features a repetitive pattern of Smoky Slate-stamped hearts. For the focal point, I chose elements from the Sure Do Love You stamp set and stamped them in Berry Burst, Lemon-Lime Twist, and Dapper Denim. And finally, to accessorize the card I used a few of the Tutti-Fruitti adhesive-backed sequins paired with rhinestones. My favorite surprise element is the Berry Burst “fuzz”. I was working to fray the Berry Burst metallic edge ribbon and this was the main string I pulled. It turned out soft and fuzzy, so I decided to add it to the card for fun.
