Hi everyone and welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop! We’ve got some great projects to share with you, so make sure you continue by clicking the NEXT button at the bottom of this post to continue the hop. Today I’m sharing alternative projects made with the January Paper Pumpkin Kit called Sending Hearts. You can read more about this kit in my previous post.

When I stamped the heart image on this panel initially, I screwed it up…..big time! There was no real way to salvage the stamped area, so I decided to cut it out and turn it into a shaker card. A few hearts were die cut from Petal Pink, Basic White, and Gold Foil to use as filler. I love the way it turned out, don’t you?

Sending Hearts Alternative Projects

For this card, I began by stamping the heart image in Versamark ink and heat embossed it 3 times with Gold embossing powder to give it a very raised look. Next, I used a Blending Brush and Poppy Parade ink over the image to make it more prominent. Be sure to wipe off the excess ink over the embossed areas. The “Love” stamp was from the included stamp set and I fussy cut it before adding it to the card. I embellished the card with a few matte black dots and some of the leftover ribbon from the kit.

I really love these next 2 cards because I adore the Snailed It stamp set and now I have a baby snail to go with it! Yippee! I used the Stamparatus to line up the “xoxo” stamp and create my own background. There were a few strips of paper left from the kit that worked well for a divider. Lastly, I colored the Snail with Smoky Slate and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends, then popped it up with dimensionals.

On my most recent craft room cleaning spree, I came across an old cloud stencil from Stampin’ UP! I used it with a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue ink to create the cloud background. Next, I blended some Granny Apple Green ink at the bottom and added a few strokes from the marker for grass. And finally, I added another snail colored with Stampin’ Blends along with the perfect sentiment. I think this one is my favorite!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
