I'm always on the lookout for new tutorials to try, and this week Splitcoaststampers featured a Surprise Shaker card tutorial. I had to alter a few of the steps, but the result turned out really cute.

The front of the card features the Ferris Wheel image on a tag insert. I created a tab at the top with a punched circle of Bermuda Bay cardstock. The tassel was tied on with Bakers' Twine from the Cupcakes & Carousels embellishment kit.

Once you slide the tag upwards, the shaker part of the card is revealed. The sequins are also from the Cupcakes & Carousels embellishment kit. I used the Cupcakes & Carousels Designer Series Paper to frame the shaker. The ferris wheel image was stamped in Basic Black Archival ink, then splashes of color were added with the watercolor pencils and a blender pen.
