Foil Frenzy Happy Birthday

As you are reading this, I am off on a much needed quick vacation.  It’s been a crazy, busy year so it was definitely time for a break.  However, I find that getting away for a trip can be extremely hectic.  It always seems like there is so much to do before I can leave the house, the office, the dogs, the blog, and so on.  I felt like I had it all under control and then we were invited to a last-minute birthday celebration.   A fast card had to be made!

FMS294I used the sketch above from Freshly Made Sketches for my layout and paired it with the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper for some sparkle and bling.  The Happy Birthday Thinlits have become my “go-to” for quick birthday cards.  On this card, I layered 5 die cuts to create the dimension on the greeting.  Instead of gluing them together with liquid glue, I decided to use the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets.  They made this project go even quicker and it was a lot less mess!  You’ll definitely want to use these sheets with your intricate die cuts.

Foil Frenzy Happy Birthday  To embellish the card, I used a few of the Glitter Enamel Dots and some Berry Burst 5/8″ Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.  This card has just the right amount of bling and was perfect for our birthday girl.  You could easily re-create this card with any of the foil sheets from the Foil Frenzy Specialty Designer Series Paper and you’d have cards for every birthday this year.Foil Frenzy Happy Birthday Close-Up

I want to wish all of you a safe and happy 4th of July!

Who’s Having a Birthday?

Birthday Memories Suite

If you haven’t fallen in love with the Birthday Memories Suite yet, I think that today’s card may push you over the edge.  How cute are these poodles?  There are two 12″ x 12″ sheets of the Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper covered in poodles, plus one of the die cuts will cut out the main poodle image perfectly.

Birthday Memories Suite

The greeting is from the Birthday Delivery stamp set and it was stamped in Real Red ink onto Whisper White card stock.  I used the Big Shot and the Layering Circles Dies to cut out the Whisper White circle and the Real Red Scallop Circle.  To accessorize the card, I tied on some Basic Black 3/8″ Shimmer Ribbon and added a few Real Red Enamel shapes.

Hip Hip Hooray! It’s Your Birthday!

Birthday Memories Suite

If you are looking for some bright, colorful images to adorn your handmade birthday cards, look no further than the Birthday Memories Suite of products.  There is an amazing bundle that features the Birthday Delivery Photopolymer stamp set, Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper, and Birthday Friends Framelits.  What I love most about this bundle is the coordination of the Framelits with the Designer Series Paper.  For today’s card, I was able to die cut the fox image and banner from the paper…..very little stamping required!

Birthday Memories Suite

There are a couple of stamps that will fit inside the banner.  I chose to stamp the sentiment in the coordinating Pacific Point ink.  The background was embossed with the Big Shot and the new Polka Dot Basics Embossing Folder.  I also added a few Brights Enamel Shapes to make this card even more festive.

Birthday Memories Suite

For cards that feature a darker card stock base, I always place a piece of Whisper White card stock on the inside for stamping and/or writing a personalized greeting.  On this card, I also added a strip of the Designer Series Paper to match it to the front.

Birthday Memories Suite

I’m trying very hard not to hoard my Designer Series Paper this year.  I was able to die cut quite a few of the fox images from my paper and create these cards for my most recent downline meeting.  My group of demonstrators meets every other month to share ideas and talk shop.  We also have a group Facebook page where we can share our card creations.

Special Delivery For Your Birthday

Birthday Memories Special Delivery

We are featuring Birthday Cards on the Stylin’ Stampin’ INKSpiration blog today.  Quite a few of our designers participated in this challenge, so be sure to check out the wide variety of Birthday Cards we created to inspire you.

When I first flipped through the Annual Catalog, the Birthday Memories Suite really jumped out at me.  I loved the vintage-look, the bright colors, and the intricate designs.  It was immediately at the top of my wish list.  Now that I’ve had time to play with the products, I love the Birthday Memories Suite even more!

Birthday Memories Special Delivery

The bundle for this suite includes the Birthday Delivery Stamp Set, Birthday Memories Designer Series Paper, and the Birthday Friends Framelits Dies.  What I love most about this bundle is that the dies coordinate with some of the images on the Designer Series Paper.   That is how I got the image of the little girl.  Isn’t she adorable?

Birthday Memories Special Delivery

I’ve also used some new favorites on this card:  the Pacific Point 1/4″ Stitched-Edge Ribbon and the Starburst Punch.  The ribbon is a soft cotton and very easy to tie.  I like that it coordinates so well with the entire Birthday Memories suite.  The Starburst punch is a new addition to our punches and will work with a large variety of the stamps in the catalog.  I love that it is so quick, easy, and versatile!

You’ll definitely want to add the Birthday Memories Suite of products to your next order.

Everyone has a birthday and these products will enable you to create many, many birthday cards.  You can shop anytime in my online store using the product links below.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Color Challenge TGIFC110

Happy Birthday Gorgeous Color Challenge
We’ve got a fantastic color challenge on the TGIF Challenges Blog today using Bermuda Bay, Peekaboo Peach, and Basic Black.  It’s such a fun combination!  We would love to have you play along with us.  Create a project using this color combo and upload it to the challenge blog HERE.  We select a winner every Friday.

TGIFC110
I combined the color challenge with the Mojo Monday Sketch to create this cute birthday card.  The full card measures 4-1/4″ x 4-1/4″.  When I mail this size of a card, I simply add a piece of Whisper White card stock measuring 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ to my standard envelope.  Unless there is a lot of bulk, this will save you on postage.
Happy Birthday Gorgeous Color Challenge
I created my own background paper by 2-step stamping the floral images from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set in Peekaboo Peach and Bermuda Bay inks.  For the first image, I stamped off.  Then the detailed image, I stamped at full strength.  The greeting was stamped in Basic Black archival ink, then die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  You’ll also see a new ribbon:  the 3/8″ mini chevron ribbon in Bermuda Bay.  I love the casual feel of it!

Now that the Annual Catalog is LIVE, I’ll be adding recipes for each card at the end of my posts.  There are certainly a lot of new items in this catalog, but I highly recommend the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.  It is definitely one of my favorites!
