Happy Friday everyone! I’m sure you are busy with last-minute prep for the holidays. If you haven’t started your card-making, it’s not too late! I’ve chosen some simple designs from the Holiday catalog to CASE (Copy & Share Everything) that fit this week’s theme at TGIF Challenges. Our creations are inspired by Christmas Carols and we would love for you to play along with us. If you don’t celebrate Christmas, you can choose a song from whatever holiday you celebrate. Check out page 14 of the Holiday Catalog. Can you see which cards I copied? One of them is part of a scrapbook page! Both of my cards today use the Merry Little Christmas Memories & More Card Pack. These card packs are just perfect for whipping up a quick, simple card.
On this first card, I started with a Whisper White card base, then layered a trimmed-down piece of Crumb Cake pattern card from the Memories & More pack. I’ve been dying to cut into this beautiful plaid paper from the Christmas Around the World Designer Series Paper, so this was a perfect fit. The greeting is from one of the 3″ x 4″ cards and I trimmed it to fit onto the black-striped border card. Instead of ornaments, I embellished the final card with a simple White Baker’s Twine bow.
This copied card is also pictured on page 14. You’ll notice that I stepped it up a bit. I added the plaid paper and switched to green trees with White Craft ink plus Clear wink of Stella. The musical note paper is from the Merry Music Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack.
Again, we would love for you to join our challenge and play along. You’ll find all the details HERE.
Welcome back to the Monday Montage blog hop! Every other Monday, my friends and I share inspiring paper craft projects. Be sure to visit all the stops….you don’t want to miss anything!
I have just returned from a relaxing weekend at the lake with my family and friends. Since I didn’t do any stamping this past week, I am sharing my Card Club projects from July. We had a Christmas in July theme and I focused on using the Merry Mistletoe stamp set on all of the cards. These are quick and easy cards that you can whip up with a minimum of supplies. I’m listing the basic supplies used below. Of course, I also used punches and dies, but you could easily substitute whatever you already own to recreate any of the cards. A simple square shape would even work for most of the greetings and/or focal points.
The tutorial for this collection of cards will be available in the blog sidebar tomorrow. It includes all the measurements, so you don’t have to figure it out for yourself. My customers really enjoyed this class and the simplicity of the cards. I hope you do, too!
