Painted Harvest Z-Fold

We are featuring Z-fold cards on the TGIF Challenges blog this week.  There are several versions of z-folds floating around, but I’ll share the card stock dimensions with you that I used on my card.  This card is very easy to put together and you’ll certainly get a WOW from the recipient.

Card Base:  5-1/2″ x 11″, scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″

Designer Series Paper Card Layers:  5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″, and (2) 2-1/2″ x 5-1/4″

“Z-bar”:  1-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 2-3/4″ and 5-1/2″

“Z-bar” layers: 1″ x 5-1/4″, and (2) 1″ x 2-1/2″

insets:  (2) 1″ x 3-1/4″, scored at 1/4″ from each end

The bold and gorgeous paper I used on this card is from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper stack.  It coordinates with the Painted Harvest Stamp set.  I stamped the flowers in Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, and Early Espresso ink, then fussy cut them out.  Sadly, there is not a coordinating set of dies for this stamp set.  There is a leaf punch, though!  I stamped leaves in Garden Green ink onto Very Vanilla card stock and punched those out.  I also added a few Crumb Cake on Crumb Cake leaves that were fussy cut.

For the sentiments, I used the Stitched Shapes framelits to create the focal point of the card.  I swear, I use these dies on almost every project!  If you don’t have them, be sure to add them to your next order.

Our challenge is open for 1 week and you are invited to play along.  It’s always fun to try a new fancy fold and this one is a real show-stopper.

Check out what the other designers created this week to inspire you even more.
