My husband and daughter like to make fun of me for having “tiny t-rex arms”. While it’s true that I cannot reach items on high shelves, I certainly don’t think my arms mimic that of a dinosaur. I did think it would be fun to pair the t-rex image with this greeting and today’s card will be perfect to send my daughter while she is visiting her grandparents this summer.
I started by stamping and die cutting the dinosaur and tree elements. The backround was sponged with a combination of Pineapple Punch and Mango Melody inks. To add a little dimension, I layered strips of the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper and the Pretty Peacock Cardstock to the top and bottom of the sponged panel. And of course, I had to add a few googly eyes from my crafty stash.
The layout for this card was inspired by this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. You’ll find the complete list of supplies at the end of this post.
Adorable! I love the googly eyes. It’s always a treat to see you in the FMS gallery, Melissa!
Get out! This is so cute with the little eyes! Love that background too! So glad to see you this week at FMS!
