Hi everyone and welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop! We’ve got some great projects to share with you, so make sure you continue by clicking the NEXT button at the bottom of this post to continue the hop. My projects feature the Prince & Princess stamp set which is available as part of Stampin’ Up Host Rewards. You can get this stamp set by hosting a workshop or placing an order of at least $150.

The layout for my cards was based on this sketch from Freshly Made Sketches. I wanted my panels to be unique and softer in tone than our colored cardstock. Stampin’ Blends are a great way to add an ombre wash of color on Basic White card stock. I began by cutting the card stock into 1-1/4″ x 3-3/4″ strips, then colored them with the light and dark Stampin’ Blends. Next, I used a water painter and white craft ink to flick white splatters aross the strips. The strips were adhered to a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock, then added to the card base with Dimensionals.

Both images were stamped in Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock, then colored with Stampin’ Blends. There are not coordinating dies with this stamp set so I had to fussy cut the images by hand. For the crown on the swan, I stamped the image in Black StazOn ink onto Rose Gold Metallic Specialty Paper before fussy cutting. I combined 2 of the sentiments to make these perfect for new babies.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
