Glitter Thank You

Our challenge this week at TGIF Challenges is to use GLITTER on our projects.  Who doesn’t need a little sparkle in their life?  Glitter makes everything just a bit more special.  We invite you to play along by uploading your glitter-y creations to our Challenge Blog.  I can’t wait to see what you create!

The technique that I used for this card is very similar to the technique I shared in yesterday’s video.  I am working on a new video to show you the difference and should have it up this weekend.  Be sure to subscribe for updates so you’ll know when it’s posted.

I started with the same strips of Brights card stock adhered to a Multi-purpose adhesive sheet.  I die-cut the Thank You die, then pressed it into Versamark ink.  The die was sprinkled with Clear Emboss powder and heated until melted.  I repeated this step several times to create a thick coating on the die.  Before it cooled, I sprinkled a small amount of Dazzling Diamonds over the die and shook off the excess.  This creates a dimensional, rainbow die cut with sparkle.

“For all you do” is from the Friendly Expressions stamp set.  I stamped in Versamark ink onto Basic Black card stock, sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss powder, and heated it with a heat tool.  For accent, I added just a few of the new Glitter Enamel Dots (I think one fell off.  I had 3 on there.  LOL!)
