Happy Friday everyone! We’ve got a fun sketch challenge at TGIF Challenges this week and I really hope you’ll play along with us. It’s really easy! Simply create a card using the sketch below for inspiration and upload it to our challenge blog by next Thursday. We announce a winner every Friday and it could be you.
My design features the Broadway Bound suite of products.
I simply love the combination of Lemon-Lime Twist and Lovely Lipstick, don’t you? It creates such a bright, cheerful card. I stamped the Hooray in Lovely Lipstick onto Whisper White card stock, then die cut with the Big Shot and Layering Circles Dies. Next, I stamped the “It’s Your Birthday” in Black Memento ink below it. I added a Basic Black scallop circle layer behind the sentiment. For the upper background layer, I stamped the party hats in Lemon-Lime twist ink onto Lemon-Lime Twist card stock to create a tone-on-tone effect.
To accent my Broadway Bound card, I added some Black Shimmer Ribbon and Gold Metallic Pearls. The party hat was die cut from the Broadway Bound Designer Series Paper. There is also a party hat stamp, so that would be another option.
