#TGIFC190 Sketch Challenge featuring Classic Garage Suite

As you can probably tell, I was serious when I said earlier this week that I was OVER making Christmas cards.  Today’s card almost ended up being a Father’s Day card, but I stopped myself.  Instead, I’m featuring the Classic Garage Suite of products from the Occasions Catalog.  You’ll be able to order these items beginning January 3, 2019.

For the layout, I’m using this week’s sketch from TGIF Challenges.  I’ve been so busy the last 2 months that I’ve missed a lot of our weekly challenges.  I’m going to do better and I welcome you to join this week’s sketch challenge.  Use the photo above to inspire you and post your lovely creation on our challenge blog.  We select a winner each week and announce a winner/new challenge on Friday.

My favorite element from the Classic Garage suite is the large gear die from the Garage Gears Thinlits Dies.  I cut the focal point from the Black Foil Sheets to give them a light sheen.  The foil sheets will be carried over from the Holiday catalog, so if you didn’t use them all on Halloween projects, pull them out for gears.

The greeting was stamped in Memento Black ink onto a narrow strip of the Classic Garage Designer Series Paper.  I also used the paper to create the background.  This paper has so many great masculine designs!  A set of small gears was die cut and used for embellishment, as well as a bit of silver thread.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I hope you’ve been enjoying these sneak peeks from the Occasions catalog.  I’ll be sharing more soon.  Be sure to PIN any projects you like so you’ll have the ideas handy next year.
