It’s Friday and that means it’s time for another challenge from TGIF Challenges. This week, we are trying our hand at ribbon ruffles. This is a great technique for anyone that loves ribbon, but doesn’t love tying bows. When I do this technique, I simply apply some Tear & Tape Adhesive to the back of my ribbon then slowly fold it back and forth onto the card to create a ruffle. Easy-peasy!

My ribbon ruffle was created with the Pretty Peacock Scalloped Linen Ribbon. I love how it complements the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper. Pretty Peacock is also featured on the card stock layers and the stamped greeting. The dinosaur was stamped in Pool Party ink, but I wanted to add a few accents to his wing. I drew in a few lines with the Light Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends and that really helped the image to pop.

The layout for today’s card was inspired by this week’s sketch from CAS(E) this Sketch. If you are feeling stuck in your stamping, I highly recommend trying a sketch or technique challenge to inspire you. I’ve given you 2 great ones today to try!

Thanks so much for stopping by!
