I shared a bit of insight into why I chose the Dreambox for my craft room in this post. My Dreambox arrived approximately 5 weeks after I placed my order. There were some delays with my Dreamcart, but the company was excellent in communicating these delays. I’m happy to announce that it arrived last week and I’ll be sharing more on it specifically in a separate post.

Delivery Day! It arrives by freight truck in a cardboard box or crate.

Here is what I ordered from Create Room:

  • White Shaker-style Dreambox
  • Half-set In-view Totes
  • Pre-built Service
  • Crown Light
  • Side Tables
  • Cutting Mat
  • Power Strip
  • Dream Cart

I chose the White Shaker Dreambox because the style fit with our home.

There is a less expensive Ergo version as well as a slightly higher priced Farmhouse Gray.

Each dreambox features the same customizable layout, so this is purely a personal choice.

Half Totes or Full Totes?

The next step is to choose your tote package.

Because I already had quite a few organizational pieces that I planned to incorporate into my Dreambox, I chose the Half set of the In-view totes.

This packages includes 21 shelves and 40 totes (18 large, 8 shoebox, and 14 notions) plus tracks for installation.

I ended up with a few unused totes, so this was perfect for my set up.

However, if you are starting from scratch or have a very large craft supply collection, the full set may work better for you.

Personally, I think it’s better to order a little less, and you can always order more if you need them.

Pre-Built or DIY?

Let’s talk about the pre-built service.

You can DIY build the Dreambox yourself and it is expected to take approximately 5-10 hours.

Although my husband and I have earned honorary degrees in Ikea furniture assembly, I did not feel that our marriage would survive a 5+hour project (LOL).

I mainly chose the pre-built for the time savings.

If you select the pre-built service, plan on having at least 2-3 people to carry the 3 individual sections.

This thing is a beast!

Somehow my husband and I managed to get it inside our home, but it was no easy task.

An extra person would have been very helpful.

If you have to maneuver any stairs, I hope you know some very strong people or you may want to opt for the DIY build.

Accessories?

If I had to select my one must-have, it would definitely be the Crown Light. My craft room lighting is not always the best and I do a lot of my crafting at night.

I also added the power strip to make turning on the light easily accessible and to have access to plug in my die cutting machines and heat tool.

The side tables were on sale when I ordered my Dreambox, so I added them to my package.

However, I have yet to use either side table. I’m finding them difficult to maneuver and somewhat cumbersome to store. The side tables are probably my only “regret” at this point.

And finally, I got the cutting mat. I adhered it to my Dreambox table with Command Strips so that it would not move and would protect the work surface.

Create Room Financing Options

I’ve invested a lot into my crafting supplies and the Dreambox was definitely a substantial investment that I did not make lightly.

My husband and I chose to finance the Dreambox because we got a great rate, it worked well for our budget, and there are no prepayment penalties.

Create Room offers financing through Bread with up to 0% APR for qualifying customers  so you can make monthly payments (as low as $52/mo with my discount code THESTAMPDOC applied).

Financing might not be right for everyone, but I wanted you to know that it is an option to make your dream a reality.

What’s Next?

In my next blog post, I’ll be sharing how I organized my supplies.

  1. That looks really nice! How expensive is it more or less. Is there a catalog I can look at? Never heard of them before. I am certainly interested.
