Monday Montage 99
Welcome back to the Monday Montage blog hop! Every other Monday, my friends and I share inspiring paper craft projects. Be sure to visit all the stops….you don’t want to miss anything!
Today I’m sharing one of the Daisy Delight cards that we made in Card Club this month. This one is super easy! It features unusual angles and a trendy color scheme. I used the sketch below from Freshly Made Sketches for the layout.
For my Card Club, I design 5 projects and try to focus on one stamp set, coordinating designer series paper, and a limited number of ink colors. I want my customers to see all the variation they can create with just a few supplies. This month, we used the Daisy Delight stamp set, Daisy Punch, and Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.
The Daisy image was stamped twice with Tranquil Tide ink onto Whisper White card stock, then punched out. To create the angled edge, I simply placed a ruler and drew the lines before cutting. The “Thank You” sentiment was stamped along the angled edge in Tranquil Tide ink. A few of my club members chose to leave the sentiment off so that they could use it for a different occasion.
As a finishing touch, I scattered a few Clear Faceted Gems onto the front of the card.
The Card Club tutorial will be available in the blog sidebar tomorrow. It includes all the measurements, so you don’t have to figure it out for yourself. My customers really enjoyed this class and the simple beauty of these cards. I hope you do, too!
