My birthday gift was delivered on Tuesday. A few days late, but I didn't mind. It's finally here! It only took my husband a few hours, along with some colorful language, to put it together. Then, I got to spend most of Wednesday stocking it with all of my supplies. I can't believe how much this desk holds!!! It is amazing.
Last year, I got to see this desk, up close and personal, at a Creating Keepsakes Convention. I had seen pictures of it online and in scrapbook magazines before, but wasn't overly impressed. It just looked like a desk with a glass top to me. But when I saw it at the convention, I loved the fact that it could be made into a counter-height desk by adding drawers. I like to stand when I do my prep work for classes and it is just the right height.
And the drawers are perfect for storing ALL of my punches. I love being able to see all my goodies at one time. It looks like I'll be selling all of my old "whale-tail" style punches and purchasing the new style soon. If you are interested in any of the old punches, I'll be posting a list on Saturday when I announce the blog candy winner.
The other great thing that I love about this desk is that it matches some of our other furniture…..therefore, mom is no longer "banished" to another room to stamp. It works well in our open living & dining room area, so I can spend more time with my family and stamp, too!
If you haven't done so already, be sure to enter to win some blog candy by leaving a comment on my previous post. I'll be announcing the winner on Saturday.
That looks very nice…great gift Dr. Ben!
Where did your husband buy the desk? I love the fact you can see into the top set of drawers. Enjoy. It is beautiful.
