I love the fun size of a 3" square card. They are perfect for sending a little note to say "hello" or "thank you" AND they can easily be transformed into a bag topper for the medium cello bags from Stampin' Up!
I also like the fact that these cards are very ECONOMICAL to make. You can get 8 cards from 1 sheet of 12" x 12" cardstock. The cello bags are only $4.50 for a package of 50 and Stampin' Up even has mini square envelopes to fit the cards. It's nice to keep these items on hand in case of a stamping emergency.
Here are few Valentine's Day samples to inspire you:
Stamp Set: Crab & Company
Cardstock: Real Red, Whisper White, Creamy Caramel
Ink: Basic Black, Creamy Caramel and Bashful Blue were sponged around the crab image
Accessories: Red Gingham Ribbon, 1-1/4" circle punch, 1-3/8" circle punch, dimensionals, Real Red marker, 1/8" hole punch
Notes: I punched 2 small holes close together to fit the stick of the blow pop. On the inside of the card, the stick is secured under the gingham ribbon.
Stamp Sets: Holidays & Wishes, Kisses Wheel
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White
Ink: Chocolate Chip ink cartridge and pad, Regal Rose Craft Ink
Accessories: Chocolate Chip 5/8" Grosgrain Ribbon, Stampin' Around handle, Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder, heat tool, On Board Accents, Avery Labels 8160, Hershey Nuggets, dimensionals
Notes: I used the negative image of the heart from the On Board Accents….don't throw anything away, right? I applied the Regal Rose craft ink to the chipboard, poured embossing powder over the heart, then heated with the heat tool to create lots of sparkle. The labels were wheeled with the adorable Kisses wheel in chocolate chip ink. These labels fit perfectly around the Hershey nuggets and look great.
I'll have more samples to share with you tomorrow, so please check back.
