#tgifc200 On the Wings of Inspiration

This week’s challenge at TGIF Challenges is all about butterflies. Our designers have some amazing card creations on our blog and I encourage you to check them out!

Butterflies have obviously been very popular in the Stampin’ UP! world. We have sold out of many of our butterfly products in the Sale-a-Bration and Occasions catalog. Therefore, I wanted to showcase some butterflies that are still available and could use a little love.

The gorgeous paper on this card is from the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper. If you look closely, you can see that it appears that the butterflies in the paper were hand embroidered. Gorgeous, right?

For the focal point, I heat embossed the greeting and butterfly image by stamping in Versamark before sprinkling with White Emboss powder. I used the heat tool to melt the powder. Next, I die cut the greeting with the Big Shot and layered it onto a larger stitched circle. The final touch is the adorable Night of Navy gingham ribbon.
