Jar of Flowers: #TGIFC278 Inspiration Challenge

Happy Friday! It’s time for an inspiration challenge from TGIF Challenges. When I saw our inspiration image, I immediately planned to use the Jar of Flowers bundle for my design team project. If you’d like to see what the other designers created, take a quick look over at the challenge blog. We’d love to have you play along this week.

I love the look of chalk-painted mason jars that you see all over Pinterest. In fact, you’ll find a few of them in my home filled with flowers. I wanted to re-create that look on this project. To achieve the chalk paint effect, I stamped White Craft ink onto Smoky Slate cardstock with the solid jar image from the Jar of Flowers stamp set. After allowing it to fully dry, I stamped the outline image of the jar over the solid area with the White Craft ink again. I can’t wait to try this with other colors! It turned out so cool.

The floral image was colored with Stampin’ Blends in the following colors: Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, Soft Sea Foam, and Mossy Meadow. Behind the flowers, you’ll see that I embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock with one of the new Wrapped in Texture embossing folders. The pattern papers are from the Peony Garden Designer Series Paper pack and coordinate nicely with a Petal Pink and Basic Gray color palette. As a final touch, I added a greeting from the Lovely You stamp set and a few scattered Pearls.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

You’ll find a complete list of supplies below. To see more samples made with the Jar of Flowers stamp set, check out this post that also shows how I stamp the images perfectly every time.
