Happy Friday everyone! It’s time for a sketch challenge at TGIF Challenges. You’ll definitely want to check out the designer inspiration and play along! My card for today features the new Artistically Inked bundle from the 2021-2022 Stampin’ UP! Annual Catalog.
Artistically Inked Floating Strip Card
The Artistically Inked stamp set and Artistic dies are featured on the cover of the new catalog. I wanted to show a completely different way to use it. For the background, I began by adhering strips of cardstock to a window sheet that measures 3-3/4″ x 5″. After allowing it to dry, I trimmed the edges. The floral die cut is from the Artistic dies. Using an adhesive sheet makes adhering it to the card much easier. I stamped the “thanks” from the stamp set in Versamark, then heat embossed with white emboss powder. A few blue-adhesive backed gems were added for embellishment.
I shared this next card on Instagram over a week ago and it got an amazingly positive reception. The same window sheet/cardstock strip technique was used on this card along with the Hand-Penned Petals bundle.
