Born to Shine

June at our house means it is dance recital time. My daughter has been dancing since she was 4 years old and I knew I had to have this stamp set. I haven’t seen too many samples with it yet, so I used this week’s sketch from CAS(E) this sketch to inspire me.

I started by stamping the ballerina image in Jet Black Memento ink onto the middle of a 3-3/4″ x 5″ piece of Whisper White cardstock. A second ballerina image was stamped onto a sticky note, then fussy cut directly on the outline. I used this image to mask the ballerina before stamping stars in Petal Pink, Blushing Bride, and Flirty Flamingo inks around her.

The ballerina image was colored with Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, and Bronze Stampin’ Blends. I added some Clear Wink of Stella around the ballerina to give it a little shimmer. The greeting was stamped then die cut with the Layering Ovals die. A Stitched Black Oval was layered behind it. The silver stars are from my crafty stash and not a current SU product.
