Card in a Box Featuring Bubble Over

This week at TGIF Challenges, we definitely have a challenge for you!  We are featuring a fun & fancy card fold called Card in a Box.  It’s a little more involved, but it is sure to delight the recipient.  Our design team had a lot of fun with this challenge and we’ve provided several samples and a video tutorial on the blog.  Be sure to check it out and play along with us by uploading your creations.TGIF144
One of my early favorites from the Occasions catalog was the Bubble Over stamp set & dies.  However, I’m just now getting around to using them.  I began my card by stamping and die-cutting multiple bottles, caps, labels, etc.  Honestly, that was the most time-consuming part of creating this card.  For the card base, I followed this tutorial from Splitcoaststampers.  This tutorial requires 12″ x 12″ paper, so you’ll definitely want to keep that in mind.  There are many tutorials available that use 8-1/2″ x 11″ paper, so you can always alter this project to fit what you have on hand.

Once you have your card base put together and all of your bits & pieces stamped and ready, the assembly will go rather quickly.  I laid my pieces out on a 3″ x 3″ piece of paper to determine my layout before adhering the bottles in place.  Strips of window sheets were used to float the “celebrate” die-cut and a few of the bottle caps.

I love the Bubble & Fizz Designer Series paper so much!  The bright, cheerful colors and whimsical patterns are just so much fun.  I wanted to feature more of the patterns on my card without making it too busy.  You’ll notice some small strips of banner-end papers on the greeting flap.  It’s a great way to feature multiple patterns!  The greeting is from the Bubble Over stamp set and fits this card perfectly.

Wow! I love your idea of using window sheets to float the celebrate and add glimmer dots. So clever. This is one of my favorite product suites and you used it to perfection to create such a fun and playful card.
