Hi everyone and welcome to another great blog hop from the Control Freak Stampers! You may have arrived here from Tami Hewlett’s blog. She is so unbelievably talented and her projects are jaw-dropping! I’ll have your next link at the bottom of this post. The theme this month is “So Sparkly” and I took a bit of creative liberty with it. I’m sharing some adorable Designer Series Paper Gift Bags that will be a great way to present a sparkly gift.

Designer Series Paper Gift Bags

We are less than a week away from Christmas and I definitely don’t feel like going into any stores. I desperately needed some small gift bags for a few last-minute gifts, so I’m glad I stumbled upon this project shared by fellow demonstrator, Ronda Wade. You can view her tutorial here. These bags are simple to make and you only need 2 identical sheets of Designer Series Paper. For my bags, I’m using the Trimming the Town Designer Series Paper.

Paper 1: 12″ x 12″. Score at 3″ along 3 sides and 1″ along 1 side.

Paper 2: 8″ x 12″. Score at 1″ along 3 sides and 3″ along 1 side.

Instead of hanging a full card on the front of the bag like in the video, I did something different. I took a clear envelope, cut off the flap, and adhered it to the bag with Stampin’ Seal+. Then, I was able to insert the card into the clear envelope. I can either leave the top half of the card hanging out or put the whole card inside (this will be helpful in inclement weather). And now all I need to do is add something sparkly inside!

You’re next stop on the tour is my good friend Wendy Weixler. I’m sure she’ll wow you with her amazing work!

Be sure to check out these other cards created with the Trimming the Town Suite. You’ll find the complete list of supplies below.
