Falling for Thoughtful Branches

Thoughtfulbranchesfall

Bella goes back to school next week.  I can hardly believe that her Summer is over!  That can only mean one thing…..Fall is right around the corner.  Sadly, it will be a few more months before the leaves start to turn, but I can still get a head start on my Fall cards with the Thoughtful Branches stamp set.

This Mojo Monday sketch works perfectly with my Fall colors.

I started by stamping the trio of tree trunks in Early Espresso ink onto Whisper White card stock.  Next, I added a grassy area with Garden Green ink stamped at full-strength, then a second time without re-inking.  I used that same stamping technique for the leaves which are stamped with Crushed Curry, Garden Green, and Cajun Craze ink.

It may be hard to see in the pics, but I embossed one of the layers with the Woodgrain embossing folder and the Big Shot.  The Moroccan Designer Series Paper added just the right amount of color in my additional card layers.  To create the "arrow", I used the Layering Squares Framelits die to create a square frame, then cut it in half diagonally.

It won't be much longer until you can get your hands on this amazing stamp set, Thoughtful Branches.  The ordering period starts August 2nd!  Comment below if you'll be adding it to your collection.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
