I'm always up for a challenge. However, when I saw this week's CAS(E) this sketch, I was a bit stumped on what to do with it.
Then I remember that I purchased the Layered Letters Alphabet during the demonstrator pre-order for the upcoming catalog. I hate to admit it, but I often buy alphabet stamps and do nothing with them…..ever. I think this one will be different, though.
I began by stamping the "HI" in the middle with Watermelon Wonder ink. After cleaning my stamps, I stamped the "HI" in Smoky Slate ink on the rest of the card in a repeating pattern. Next, I stamped the "hello" from the retiring Hi There stamp set in black ink.
To make the focal point stand out more, I used the circle and rectangle layer stamps to create a haze of color. I stamped the ink off first before stamping onto the card, otherwise it was too dark.
The Layered Letters Alphabet is a photopolymer stamp set so it is easy to see exactly where you are stamping. I didn't even have to use a stamp-a-ma-jig to create the pattern! You'll be able to add this stamp set to your collection on June 2nd.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Oh, this is so cool! I love your stamped background! Great take on the sketch!
