This week, the Creative Collab Crew is bringing back an old favorite – brayering. And let me tell you, it was a blast from the past for me too!
I couldn’t resist getting out my Stampin’ Brayer after years of neglect. And boy, did I have fun with it. I went for a messy brayering technique, layering different colors onto a blank canvas of Basic White cardstock. When I was done, I stepped back and was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful abstract background that emerged.
Using Timid Tiger, Strawberry Slush, and Darling Duckling inks, I created a stunning backdrop for my card. After trimming it down to 3-3/4″ x 5″, I stamped a simple yet impactful “happy birthday” from the Layered Thoughts stamp set in bold black ink. To make it pop, I layered it onto a 4″ x 5-1/4″ piece of Basic Black cardstock before mounting it onto a Strawberry Slush card base.
But that’s not all. I added a touch of elegance and charm to this card by embellishing it with some of the 2025-2027 IN Color Flat Pearls. Want to see how I put it all together? Watch the video for my full process. Trust me, you don’t want to miss it. Get ready to be inspired and create your own brayered masterpiece!
