Monday Montage 106
Welcome to another Monday Montage blog hop! Thanks for taking time out of your busy holiday schedule to join us. We’ve got some great projects for our final blog hop of the year, so be sure to visit all 9 stops.
I think I can officially call myself a “dance mom”. We spent all day yesterday in rehearsal for Bella’s holiday recital and today was the big performance. I decided to work backstage for this show and it’s really amazing to watch it from that vantage point. My inspiration for today’s card comes from one of Bella’s costumes and this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.
I felt like the Sugarplum Dreams stamp set would be the perfect set to use on a Thank You/Christmas card for Bella’s ballet teacher. The background was created using the Prussian Blue Brusho Crystal Colour over a piece of the Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper. I simply sprinkled a small amount of Brusho onto the paper, spritzed lightly with water, and allowed it to dry. It creates a beautiful effect, don’t you think? The Brusho Crystal Colour will be available in January. I also added a few mini silver sequins for sparkle.
The ballerina image was stamped in Black Mememto Ink, colored with Stampin’ Blends, and fussy cut. A wash of Wink of Stella was added to her tutu to give it a subtle shimmer.
Thanks so much for stopping by! You’ll find a complete list of supplies at the end of this post.
There are 9 stops on this blog hop, so be sure to check out all of the amazing projects.
