Hello and welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop! My friends and I have some great projects to share with you today. Be sure to read through to the end to find your next stop
Today’s card is a clean & simple design featuring the Come To Gather Suite. The layout was inspired by this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.
I began by stamping the leaf image in Versamark ink onto a Mercury Glass Acetate sheet. Next, copper embossing powder was generously poured over the image then heated until melted. The leaf was die cut with the coordinating die. Be sure to remove the clear backing from the acetate before die cutting. I had to run the acetate through the die cutter several times to get it to cut all the way through.
To complete the card, I added some linen thread, clear epoxy droplets, and an embossed greeting.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

This is so pretty, Melissa. I used the Mercury Acetate too yesterday. Now I know why it was so difficult to punch. I didn’t realize there was a backing…nice to know!
What a cool effect with the mercury glass and embossing! Beautiful card, Melissa! Always a treat to see you in the Freshly Made Sketches gallery.
Lovely!
