Papercrafting is the Best Medicine

Monday Montage 148

Hello and welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop! My friends and I have some great projects to share with you today. Be sure to read through to the end to find your next stop.

I’ve been working on some Halloween samples and today I’m sharing 2 of them with you. The first is a clean & simple card featuring the Wonderfully Wicked Bundle. I used several of the images to stamp the greeting and spider web. However, the real showstopper is the Wicked Die. I cut the words from 4 different colors of cardstock, then pieced them together. To give it a little shine, I used Shimmery Crystal Effects on the Wicked and spider die cuts.

This next project was inspired by fellow demonstrator, Melissa Davies. After seeing her beautiful creation, I immediately ran to my local Dollar Tree to see if I could score a few of these houses. I did a little happy dance that I was able to find enough for an upcoming class. If you can’t find these at your local store, they are available online HERE.

I began by tracing the house onto the Monster Bash Designer Series Paper. After cutting it out, I adhered it to the wood base using Tombow Multi-adhesive. The windows were carefully cut, then “filled” with monsters from one of the Designer Series Paper. I also heat embossed and die cut a few of the greetings from Spooktacular Bash stamp set. As a final touch, I applied some black acrylic paint to any areas that were bare and a few smudges around the edges.
