Papercrafting is the Best Medicine

Monday Montage 167

Hi everyone and welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop! We’ve got some great projects to share with you, so make sure you continue by clicking the NEXT button at the bottom of this post to continue the hop.

Today’s card was inspired by my stamping friend Kathy Alt. She has a very easy to follow video on this background technique here. I couldn’t wait to try it with the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper. This paper is very realistic looking and adds faux texture to your cards.

I stamped the flower images from the Tasteful Touches stamp set in Gray Granite ink then fussy cut them. The greeting was stamped in Early Espresso ink, die cut, then layered with the flowers and linen thread to create the focal point. And finally, I added a few of the In Good Taste Elements across the card for embellishment.

While I had strips of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper cut, I went ahead and made a few Father’s Day card with this same technique. The stamp set used is called Well Said. It’s very versatile as you can use it to create greetings for almost any occasion.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
