Packaging Homemade Gifts with Stampin’ UP!
Hi everyone and welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop! We’ve got some great projects to share with you, so make sure you continue by clicking the NEXT button at the bottom of this post to continue the hop. Today I’m sharing a few of the ways that I’m packaging homemade gifts with Stampin’ UP! products this Christmas.
About 10 years ago, my daughter experienced a health crisis that led to us eliminating all gluten from her diet. Before that I loved to bake, especially at the holidays. There is a steep learning curve when it comes to gluten-free baking and I was very discouraged at my first attempts. In fact, I’ve done very little baking until this year. With my “extra time”, I have fallen in love with baking again and many of my friends and family will be reaping the benefits.
Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes for Packing Homemade Gifts
My daughter loves these PYO (Paint Your Own) cookies and I think they are super cute (and easy!). I was trying to figure out how to package them and I went looking through my Stampin’ UP! stash. The Mini Paper Pumpkin Boxes are a great fit. Plus, they are very economical at a cost of just 75 cents each, food safe, and available in packs of 10. I placed a small amount of white shredded paper in the bottom of the box, then added my cookie, and edible paint pallette, and a paint brush. The front of the box was decorated with Heartwarming Hugs Designer Series Paper, a stamped sentiment from the Wrapped in Christmas stamp set, and a small red festive felt heart.
My baking nemesis is the French Macaron. Oh, how these cookies taunt me! They are fairly easy to make, but they are a bit finicky. I’ve probably made 10 batches so far, and every one of them have failed in some way. The good news is that they taste good, even if they aren’t textbook perfect. And because I can’t possibly eat them all myself, I needed a quick way to package them and get them out of my house. A half dozen cookies fit in a Mosaic Gusseted Cellophane Bag and I tied it off with some gorgeous Snowflake Splendor 1/4″ Ribbon. These bags are sold in packs of 25 and are food safe.
Both of these items are available during the Giant Year-End Closeout Sale
