Color & Contour: Monday Montage 188
Hi everyone and welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop! We’ve got some great projects to share with you, so make sure you continue by clicking the NEXT button at the bottom of this post to continue the hop. Today I’m sharing a sneak peek of a new stamp bundle called Color & Contour. I’ve paired it with the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper that I shared earlier in this post.
The 2021-2022 Stampin’ UP! Annual Catalog will be launching soon…..May 4, 2021 to be exact. As usual, there are some amazing stamps and accessories that you are going to love. One of my favorites is the Color & Contour bundle. It’s a 2-step stamp set that has some gorgeous floral images and perfect sentiments for many occasions. The dies cut out the florals and also include a scallop border and stitched scallop rectangles. If you would like a hard copy of the new catalog, please fill out this form and I’ll get one to you right away!
Tips on Making the Color & Contour Cards
For the first card, I used the scallop border die to cut along the bottom edge of the card. Then, I was able to layer this wonderful Pattern Party Designer Series Paper behind the scallops for a little peek-a-boo action. The flower was stamped in Black Memento ink and Pale Papaya ink. I added a few speckles with Evening Evergreen ink and colored the stem with a Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blend marker. And yes, those are some new color names!
This next card is probably the easiest but I really love the color combination. Polished Pink flowers really pop on a black & white color pallette. (Did I just drop another color name?) I simply layered a 2″ x 4-1/4″ piece of Pattern Party Designer Series Paper onto the bottom of my card base, then added my die cut stiched, scalloped rectangle. You’ll notice that I’ve also added some In Color jewels as embellishment on all of the cards.
The final Thank You card is a split panel card. It is very similar to THIS ONE I created with the Playful Pets suite last year. To create this card, cut Basic White card stock to 4-1/4″ x 7″, scoring it at 5-1/2″. You’ll need a second piece of Basic White card stock cut to 1-1/2″ by 4-1/4″. Layer 1-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ strips of the Pattern Party Designer Series Paper onto the card base and Basic White strip. Use the die cut panel to connect the top and bottom portions of the card (don’t put adhesive in the middle!). The color on this card is called Fresh Fresia. It’s another one of our new IN Colors.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
