Welcome back to the Monday Montage blog hop! Every other Monday, my friends and I share inspiring paper craft projects. Be sure to visit all the stops….you don’t want to miss anything!
Did Mother’s Day sneak up on you, like it did on me? I think Father’s Day is going to do the same thing! As I was creating my project for tonight’s blog hop, I decided to use the sketch below as my inspiration and feature the Nailed It stamp set. Nailed It will be retiring at the end of this month and is still (as of this writing) available. However, many of the other items on my Father’s Day card for tonight have already sold out. I’ll still share it at the end of this post, but I wanted to create something that would get you excited about the upcoming new catalog!
As you may know from my previous post, I am very fond of the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set. I love all of the greetings and the 2-stamp flowers are adorable. Using the sketch, I paired the stamp set with the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper to give the card a rustic feel. I really like how it turned out, don’t you?
I stamped the greeting in Basic Black Archival ink onto Whisper White card stock, then die-cut it with the Layering Circles Framelits. Next, I created a frame from Lemon Lime Twist card stock by die-cutting the same circle and an outer circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The flowers were stamped in Powder Pink, Berry Burst, and Crushed Curry inks. Unfortunately, there isn’t a coordinating set of framelits for these flowers, so I had to fussy cut them. It may look complicated, but it only took a few minutes.
I finished off the card by adding some Glitter Enamel Dots. This product has been SO VERY POPULAR with demonstrators during the preorder. I know you’ll want them, but there may be a slight delay for them to be back in stock. Don’t worry! I’ll keep you posted. I definitely want more for myself, too.
So, now that you’ve seen the masculine version of the sketch, which one do you prefer? Leave me a comment below to let me know your pick.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
What a fun contrast with the same sketch!! I love those sweet flowers on the wood background – and the green circle is a wonderful contrast! The father’s day with the hammer is a wonderful masculine look! Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
