More Party Pandas
I’ve had a blast with the Party Pandas stamp set this week, so I decided to share a quick video on how I created these fun backgrounds. I’ve included close up photos, as well as paper measurements and supply lists for each card. You can find information on the middle card in my last post, so just scroll down a bit further.
If you watched the video, then you know that the panda below can “dance”. I’m still working on perfecting my “dancing technique”, but once I have it down, I’m sure I’ll be sharing it! I used the largest circle from the Layering Circle Framelits Dies to create the mask for this background. The colors are Peekaboo Peach and Lemon-Lime Twist. Don’t they blend nicely? I add a few retired Peekaboo Peach enamel shapes for accent. The hat was colored with a mix of Stampin’ Blends and Stampin’ Write markers. All other supplies are listed below.
Card Measurements
- Whisper White: 4-1/4″ x 11″, scored at 5-1/2″

This final card is definitely the easiest and perfect for a beginner. The pre-cut and scored Whisper White note cards make this project even faster. I began by creating a mask from one of the heart shapes in the Sweet & Sassy Framelits Dies. Berry Burst is the ink color that was sponged over the slightly offset mask. I had a strip of Tutti-Fruitti Designer Series Paper laying on my desk and decided to add it along the edge of the card to make it pop. The panda image is popped up with dimensionals and a bit of color was added to the envelope with Stampin’ Blends.
Card Measurements
- Whisper White Note Card for base (5″ x 7″, scored at 3-1/2″–finished card measures 3-1/2″ x 5″)
- Tutti-Fruitti Designer Series Paper (black & white stripes): 1/2″ x 5″

One response to “More Party Pandas”
These three are so cute and I can not pick a favorite. I am doing a swap this month and I might have to CASE one of these ideas only it can’t be a SAB item. So, I might have to use the pigs with the masking technique. My favorite sentiment is the “Cue the confetti” and I can work this in easily! Thanks for getting my brain jumpstarted (plus my Diet Coke I am drinking)! I rarely do masking the backgrounds and I am not sure why but I think I will do it!
Next year when I do the Valentine’s for the hospitalized kids charity project – I hope I remember to do the heart version. That will be perfect. Come to think about it – senior citizens would love this any time of the years with a simple word HUGS on it. Boy, my work is cut out for me! Another thought, at Christmas a stenciled tree with the little panda and a card! Talk about sensory overload!
