Wild About Animal Outing and Lined Alphabet

Animal Outing Stamp Set & Lined Alphabet

It felt really good to get back in my craft room today.  I was able to crank out several cards and finally use the Animal Outing stamp set that demonstrators were given at On Stage.  Since I needed a little inspiration to get started, I used this week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for my layout.

The animal images and the giraffe pattern paper are from the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper.  Dies from the Animal Friends Thinlits dies fit the images from the paper perfectly, so there was no stamping or coloring of the giraffe and rhino.  On the white panel, I wrapped the Leaf Ribbon around the card stock a few times, adhering it on the back.

For the greeting, I began by die-cutting 4 layers of each letter in Berry Burst card stock from the Layering Alphabet Edgelit Dies.  The top layer was stamped with the appropriate letter in Black Memento ink.  I glued all four layers of each letter together and gave them plenty of time to dry.  Next, I covered the letter in Versamark ink, sprinkled with Clear Emboss Powder, and heated until melted.  This was repeated several times to produce a nice, thick coating on the letters.

The “about you” was stamped in Versamark onto Basic Black card stock, then sprinkled with White Emboss Powder, and heated with the heat tool.  I cut the words apart before adhering them to the card.
