Healing Hugs
A few weeks ago I had a “Stampin’ Date” with a couple of friends and we played with the Healing Hugs stamp set. I immediately fell in love with this set! It is one of the DistINKtive stamps so it has a very realistic, photographic look. This week’s sketch from Freshly Made Sketches was perfect for showcasing the beautiful rose image.
I’ve got 2 tips for using the DistINKtive stamps. First, go very light with the ink. In fact, my Garden Green ink pad was very juicy so I used a sponge to apply ink to the stamp surface of the leaf image. Next, use the stamparatus. These are the red rubber stamps and you’ll definitely want to make sure that your placement is perfect. I ended up stamping my rose image twice to get good coverage.
The other product that I am absolutely loving lately is the Subtle Dynamic Embossing Folder. It creates the softest texture on the card stock and adds such an elegant touch. For accent, I scattered just a few white adhesive-backed sequins.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
