Magical Day Dragon

Well, this is my final card with the Magical Day stamp set that I’ll be sharing this week.  Although, I definitely think I’ll have to revisit it again soon.  The dragon from today’s card was actually created using leftovers from the first 2 cards.  Once I was finished with my Brusho block (see the video here), I swirled the remaining colors together and stamped onto a scrap of watercolor paper.  The result was a mottled blue-green-yellow that easily reminded me of dragon skin.  So, I decided to stamp the dragon image with Black Memento ink over the watercolor paper, then die-cut.  A little bit of shading was added with some of the Stampin’ Blends.   I did the same thing to create the flames, except I used a combination of the red and yellow Brushos.

The background paper and the strips of paper are from the Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I also used a strip of the Myths & Magic Glimmer paper to add a fun pop of shimmer.  The greeting is from the Perennial Birthday stamp set and was stamped in Dapper Denim ink, then cut apart to fit properly.
