Monday Montage 126 Falling for Leaves

Monday Montage Banner

Hello and welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop!  It’s finally beginning to feel like Fall in my neck of the woods. The leaves are just starting to change, so I wanted to feature a card that is perfect for the season.  Today’s card uses the Falling for Leaves stamp set and the Detailed Leaves Thinlits Dies.

  Falling For Leaves

The layout is based on this sketch from TGIF Challenges.  I was able to use lots of bits and pieces of the the Country Lane Designer Series Paper for the multiple layers around the focal point.

Starting with a Thick Whisper White Card Stock base, I added a layer of Rich Razzleberry paper measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″.  The next two layers both measured 3-1/4″ x 4-1/2″.  Then, I added a Pearlized Doily and some die-cut/scrap pieces of the Country Lane Designer Series Paper.  “Thankful” was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto a small scrap of Crushed Curry paper and the ends were flagged.

For the focal point, I cut a detailed and solid leaf from Copper Glimmer Paper (in the Joyous Noel collection) and layered them together. I tied a small piece of Braided Linen Thread in a bow and adhered it to the leaf with a glue dot.
