I had so much fun with the shaker card from my last post that I couldn’t wait to try a few more. Today’s card features the Wiggle Worm stamp set and Wiggly Bugs dies. The die set not only has dies to cut out the bugs, but it also features the cute little grass border and clouds. To create the shaker window, I used the Stitched Rectangles dies.
One of the fun things about this stamp set is the detail stamps for each bug (i.e. the stripes and squiggly lines). After stamping the bug outlines in Black Memento ink, I added the detail stamps in various colors. I wasn’t happy with the way that looked by itself, so I used coordinating Stampin’ Blends to color over the bugs. This created a very interesting effect that I haven’t tried before. I either stamp with color or color an image with my blends….never both at the same time until now.
Finally, I filled the shaker card with Iridescent Sequins to give it a fun & festive feel. You will find a complete list of the supplies used to make this card at the end of this post.
