Hi everyone and welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop! We’ve got some great projects to share with you, so make sure you continue by clicking the NEXT button at the bottom of this post to continue the hop. My projects feature the new Stellar Birthday stamp set and the Give It a Whirl Dies. As a bonus, I’m also sharing a quick technique video with you on creating the Galaxy background.

It’s no secret that I love interactive cards. When I saw the Give It A Whirl Dies, my head started spinning with ideas. This set of dies isn’t paired with a specific stamp set, but it is shown in the catalog with the Stellar Birthday stamp set on page 57. I figured that set would be a good one to start with.

I began by stamping all of the main images in Black Memento ink onto Basic White cardstock, then coloring with a variety of Stampin’ Blends. Next, I cut them out with my electronic die-cutting machine. You could also fussy-cut them if you have the patience. I do a bunch of these at one time so that I can add them to cards later. It’s a huge time-saver for me in the long run.

There is a little technique to putting this card together and I’m already working on a video to share what I’ve learned so far. For now, I thought you might want to know how I created the Galaxy Background. The video below shows the process in about a minute, however it actually took closer to 10 minutes. Simply apply ink to Basic White cardstock with blending brushes, then flick white craft ink on at the end. The colors used in the video are Mango Melody, Polished Pink, Granny Apple Green, Gorgeous Grape, Night of Navy , and Black.

I’m very excited about this hop because I’m sure my friends will be sharing AMAZING projects from the new 2021-2022 Stampin’ UP! Annual Catalog! My new box of goodies arrived Friday and it was hard to know where to begin. There are just so many great things in this catalog! You can view the catalog online here or if you’d like a hard copy, simply fill out this form.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
