Papercrafting is the Best Medicine

Monday Montage 157

Hi everyone and welcome to another Monday Montage Blog Hop! We’ve got some great projects to share with you, so make sure you continue by clicking the NEXT button at the bottom of this post to continue the hop.

I won the Breathtaking Bouquet stamp set during the Prize Patrol at last November’s OnStage event. It’s not exactly a stamp set that I would have picked, so I’m challenging myself to use it on several projects this week. After creating a few cards, this bouquet is beginning to grow on me.

For this card, I began by stamping the image onto Whisper White card stock with Black Memento ink. I highly recommend using the Stamparatus to make sure that your image is fully stamped. Next, I used a variety of Stampin’ Blends to color the image. It took me about 20 minutes to do all of the coloring, but I sped up the process in the video below. I start by using the lighter shade of blend, add the dark, then blend with the lighter color again.

To make this card really POP, I added some Clear Wink of Stella over the flower images. The greeting from the So Sentimental stamp set was heat embossed then die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. And as a final touch, I added a few of the From My Heart Faceted Gems.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
