Playful Alphabet: Trick or Treat #TGIFC287 Theme Challenge
Happy Friday everyone! Well, I’ve finally had a bit of time for stamping and I wanted to play along with our TGIF Challenges team this week. The theme is Trick or Treat. I’ve had this idea with the Playful Alphabet dies floating around in my head for a few weeks, so it was the perfect fit! You can play along with us by clicking here and be sure to check out the other designer’s creations. They are amazing!
The first step in making this card is adhering a piece of Black Glitter Paper to a Foam Adhesive Sheet. Next, die cut the letters from the Playful Alphabet dies and two spiders from the Little Treat Box Dies (check out this post for another creative idea with this die set). I adhered the letters to a piece of vellum cardstock. By putting a piece of grid paper under the vellum, it made it easier to line up the words.
For the background, I broke out the embossing paste to get a little messy. I placed a small amount of paste onto my silicone craft sheet and mixed in a few drops of Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Then I placed one of the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks over a piece of Pumpkin Pie card stock, and spread the black paste over it. Removing the mask revealed this awesome, dimensional pattern. You’ll definitely want to give this a try!
