#TGIFC132 Color Combo! So Neutral ~ Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede

Normally relegated to the background or supporting role, the neutrals are taking center stage today in the Color Combo Challenge for TGIF Challenges.  We are using Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, and Soft Suede as the main colors for our card creations.  You can check out what the other designers did with this combination HERE.

tgifc132 color challenge

I started by creating a background with die-cut squares of varying sizes and colors with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  Don’t you just love how it creates a quilted look with the faux stitching around the edges?

Next, I stamped the “Thanks” sentiment from the Color Me Happy stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock with Tuxedo Black Mememto Ink.  I created an ombre effect with the coloring by using the new Crumb  Cake Stampin’ Blends.  The sentiment was fussy cut, then popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The new mini dimensionals were the perfect size for this focal point.

I stamped the “You” in Soft Suede ink by masking off the remaining part of the Thanks sentiment.  As a final touch, I added just a few of the White Perfect Accents.

As always you are invited to play along with our weekly challenges.  Make a card using the color combination of Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, and Soft Suede, then upload it to our TGIF Challenge Blog.  We’ll announce the winner next Friday.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
