I posted several Give It a Whirl card samples on the blog a few weeks ago. Since then, I’ve had a lot of requests for directions on how to create the Woodland Wonder Give It a Whirl card. This one was a bit more complex, but so much fun! The video below is a replay from my Facebook Live demonstration.
This card requires the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine and the Stamparatus. After almost a year, I can tell you that I love my die cutting machine and its smaller counterpoint. Also, I highly recommend that you use the Stamparatus for placement of the animal stamp on the wheel. It makes stamping so much easier and less frustrating.
To color the images, I used a variety of Stampin’ Blends. As shown in the video, the following Stampin’ Blends were used to create the woodgrain effect: Bronze, Soft Suede, and Cinnamon Cider. Granny Apple Green blends were used for the grass and leaves. I blended Balmy Blue ink and Granny Apple Green ink with blending brushes onto Basic White cardstock to create the background. The animals were colored with a variety of blends but mostly Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate.
