Welcome to the Control Freaks monthly blog tour! This month’s theme is Occasions & Sale-a-Bration.
I am so excited to be joining the Control Freaks for another blog hop. We’ve got some great projects to share with you that feature products from the Occasions catalog and Sale-a-Bration brochure. You may have just visited the blog of the very talented other Melissa, Melissa Davies. She’s always got such wonderful ideas and I love her work. Be sure to scroll to the end of this post to follow along to your next stop.
So far, my favorite products in the Occasions catalog are from the Sweet Soiree Suite of products. I’ve already shared a few of the cards that I’ve created with this suite and today’s card features some leftover bits & pieces from other projects. I had die-cut a bunch of extra leaves and flowers, so I decided to make a shaker card with them. A few sequins were added to the shaker mix to make this card sparkle.
The “celebrate” die cut is from the Celebrate You Thinlits dies in the Sale-a-Bration brochure. You can get this set of dies FREE with a $100 purchase during Sale-a-Bration. How cool is that? I die-cut the greeting from Whisper White card stock, then sponged Powder Pink and Berry Burst inks onto it to create an ombre effect.
The final touch is the Berry Burst metallic edge ribbon. I just love the bit of sparkle it adds to the card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Your next stop on this blog tour is my good buddy, Wendy Weixler. I’m sure she’ll be blowing us away with another amazing project this month.
Your card is so pretty and striking! I love the shaker and the bits & pieces you used to make it.
This card is beautiful, and this set is def on my list for next time. Thanks for sharing!
I am completely in love with your Cake Soiree Shaker card – brilliant!!
Very Cute! TFS!
