Welcome to another Monday Montage blog hop! Today I’m sharing one of my favorite cards that I created with the Abstract Impressions photopolymer bundle. The intricate flower cluster die from the Springtime Impressions Thinlits is absolutely stunning and was perfect to showcase this die-cutting technique. I demonstrated this technique in a recent video and you’ll find the link near the end of this post.
I began by creating “rainbow” paper with strips of Brights assorted card stock and the Multipurpose adhesive sheets. Then, I carefully die cut the flower cluster using the Big Shot with the Precision Base Plate. I cut 2 additional flower clusters from Thick Whisper White card stock. All the layers were adhered with the Fine Tip Glue pen and allowed to dry.
After placing my stacked die-cut onto a Silicone Craft Mat, I applied a thick layer of the Fine Tip Glue over the entire die-cut. This takes quite a bit of time to dry, so I let is sit overnight. Once dry, I adhered it to a Thick Whisper White card base with additional glue.
The greeting was stamped in Versamark ink, sprinkled with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder, then heated with a heat tool until melted. I added the greeting to the card with Dimensionals and scattered a few adhesive-backed sequins for accent.
The video shows you all of the steps for creating the Dimensional, Rainbow-effect die-cuts. Hope you enjoy it!
